Seven readings. Fixed weights. One accountable reviewer.
The Profile Signal Index is not a personality score and not an automated verdict. These are the seven questions a reviewer resolves from the evidence in your record.
What each dimension is really asking.
The weight tells you how much the dimension contributes to the index. It does not tell you whether an individual claim is good or bad.
Positioning · 36%
The level, mandate and professional identity the first page establishes before a reader reaches career history. Look for a clear operating span, not a string of adjectives.
Market alignment · 18%
How naturally the record fits the conventions and vocabulary of the market being targeted. The same career may need a different explanation in India, the Gulf or another global market.
Ownership depth · 12%
What the person actually controlled: decisions, budget, people, geography, risk and consequence. Participation and accountability are not treated as the same thing.
Evidence · 10%
Whether a claim can be traced to a number, scope, date, decision or other source the person can stand behind. Unsupported claims remain open or come out.
Role alignment · 10%
How much of the evidence answers a named target role rather than merely describing the current or previous job.
Seniority calibration · 8%
Whether the record reads at the level actually held. Senior records often read down because they document activity and omit authority.
CV–LinkedIn consistency · 6%
Whether the two public records agree on titles, dates, scale and the story of progression. Consistency does not mean copying one document into the other.
A weight is not a pass mark.
The published sample scores differently by target role even though the career record itself does not change. Context changes what the record has to prove.
The number is the short answer. The useful output is the written explanation beneath it: what the reader inferred, which evidence carried the conclusion, and what should be addressed first. A self-check can return a band; only a person reading the record can produce the Profile Signal Index.
