Twelve files. The record, aimed.
Foundation makes the record accurate. Leadership points it at named roles, scores it against each of them, and gives you what you carry into the room.
Direction, and the room.
The four Foundation files answer what the record says. These answer where it points and how it holds up when someone asks.
Direction
On the published composite the same record scored 72 against VP Operations, 61 against Head of Supply Chain and 54 against a mid-market COO. The record did not change. The question being asked of it did.
The room
Every answer in the dossier points at a numbered row in your evidence register, so preparation means rereading a source rather than reconstructing a memory.
When there is more than one credible next role.
The spread between your targets is the thing worth acting on, and you cannot see a spread from a single reading.
Two or three real targets
Named roles, ideally with live adverts. Scored separately, because the gaps are different and the fixes are different.
Conversations are starting
The dossier and the first-month plan exist for the part of the process where someone is asking you to account for the record out loud.
A sideways move
Where the record is strong but written in the wrong dialect for where you are going. Market alignment carries 18 per cent of the index for this reason.
Board or NED positioning
A governance read is a different read. The portfolio and market intelligence that support it sit in the Advisory scope.

A larger scope contains everything in the smaller ones. Nothing is taken away.
Scope is agreed after the audit, never before. Start with one of our three fixed-price packages. If it tells you what you needed and you act on it yourself, that is a good outcome. Larger CareerOS scopes are quoted in writing, and nothing begins until that scope is accepted.
